Seafood

Skilled food sector engineers with proven expertise in seafood processing and seafood processing plants.

Our seamless cradle-to-grave service gives our clients in seafood processing plants the confidence that their projects are managed by a team experienced in the complex challenges seafood processing can pose.

This dynamic sector faces unique outside influences from the social and political landscape and we understand the concerns posed by Brexit, labour shortages and costs, overseas competition and automation challenges.

Regardless of project size or scope, we design and build efficient systems to enhance every aspect of your facility – from coating and marinating to frying, cooking and odour removal arrangements. Our aim is always to provide you with an independent solution that meets your requirements and ensures your product is produced at consistently high standards.

The Challenge of Odour Control

Odour continues to be a key challenge faced by seafood producers. Our team of expert food sector engineers can assess and make recommendations for the most complex of odour removal and abatement projects. Our solutions include wet and dry scrubbing, in addition to our own patent-pending solution, the Liquid Contact Gas Scrubber (LCG).

Seafood Processing Plants Design

Seafood processing plants come with their own unique challenges for the industry, our team know seafood and real-life application of processing lines and equipment.

Temperature control, hygiene, waste management and water use all present unique challenges within seafood processing plants.

Our team has considerable experience across the factory planning and layout of seafood processing environments, including our seafood expert project engineer Martin, who has almost 20 years’ experience across salmon, cod, crustaceans, seabass and trout.

We can consider and incorporate strategic processes for effective use of fish waste, including implementation of by product processes and fish flesh recovery.  Machinery such as automated cutters, scrapers and blades, as well seafood product labelling and packaging equipment can be specified, sourced and installed, with our team taking on full responsibility for the end-to-end process.

Our factory layout planning includes segregation of wet/dry areas, pre/post-clean processes and raw/processed materials.  Adequate drainage, temperature control and suitable, hygienic materials are all key factors included within our design process.

We also provide automation and programming for Industry 4.0 solutions with our in-house programmer, always aiming to drive up productivity while maintaining quality control standards.

Our team also includes ventilation experts, who will ensure any solution not only reduces contamination risk, but provides an easy-to-maintain solution that aids worker comfort.
