We were certainly proud to be named alongside other organisations doing great things within the UK’s manufacturing sector…

While FEG may not have won on the evening at MAKE UK’s regional awards recently, what was very apparent (and humbling) was the definite sense of pride and collectiveness that the manufacturing sector generates, especially in the North East, Yorkshire and Humber regions from where world class products, services, skills, innovation and expertise are far reaching across the globe.

That was one of the many takeaways from the evening – another was how individuals (from young apprentices to time-served figures), SMEs like ourselves operating within the supply chain, and major large-scale companies at the forefront of industry all have their part to play in delivering manufacturing excellence – we’re all driving change, have ambition and making a difference.

Well done to everyone involved (and good luck to the finalists too) – let’s continue to shine a bright spotlight on UK manufacturing and the work being done. It’s definitely worth celebrating.
