20 years, 20 highlights
Celebrating FEG Global's anniversary
With 20 years’ experience of delivering specialist engineering projects, it’s fair to say that there have been many memorable moments for our team. Here we take a look at just some of the key landmarks and projects that spring to mind as we look back with pride.
2004
FEG Global was formed
The beginning of our journey. We assembled a team of engineering experts and set out to deliver expertise, excellent customer care and industry-leading project management to our clients.
2005
First turnkey project: Kimberly-clark
An important project in the shaping of our company, we knew from this operation onwards, we would take real ownership of our work and offer clients full accountability and responsibility.
2007
First individual project over £1 million: McVities
The project that let us feel as though we had made it. Even today, it is one of our warmest corporate memories.
2011
First nuclear industry project
Our expertise in multiple sectors has grown and developed throughout the years, as has our customers’ trust in delivering the best – and right – results to their projects. Stepping into this intricate industry was an important moment, as we continue to work in this sector today.
2013
Launch of the FEG brand
The launching of our brand was integral in letting the world know who we are, what we do and how we do it.
2016
Opened new HQ in UK
Another memorable point in our development as a company, we invested in our own HQ offices here in the UK. By putting our money where our mouth is, we created a location that mirrored our progress as a brand, something that continues to grow.
2016
First exhibition at the PPMA (Processing and Packaging Machinery Association)
Prior to this, we had attended seminar events, so we were keen to take on a proper exhibition. We loved it so much that we have attended the PPMA every year since, apart from those interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
2017
Achieved ISO9001: 2015 accreditation
If you’re not moving forward and developing, you’re standing still. That’s why we take the earning and retaining of such prestigious accreditation seriously. We were particularly proud of our commitment to this course.
2017
Installing a cooling conveyor system for Silvery Tweed
We designed, built, installed and commissioned the cooling conveyor system, which was no mean feat as it was such a large project and, before we came onboard, the client had struggled to find a company that would take on that particular design. In the end, they were incredibly happy with our work, releasing a press release commending us and our work.
2017
Essentia Protein’s odour abatement plant
This project stands out for us as a great example of when the client embraced our own collaborative approach to the task of designing, installing and commissioning an odour abatement plant. Seven years later and Essentia Protein is still a very good client for us.
2018
Opened offices in Birmingham
Continuing to expand, the FEG Global’s sales offices opened in Birmingham. By developing our team in this location, we took another step in the right direction for our company.
2018
Designing dynamic weighing conveyors for 2Sisters
Over the years, we have become adept at designing our own pieces of equipment when the ones we need just aren’t on the market. At the request of our client, 2Sisters, we designed, built and installed our own dynamic weighing conveyors, as the ones we required simply did not exist.
2019
Celebrated 15 years in business
How young we were! A great milestone to reach and one that we are really proud of, as our determination to deliver the best for our clients continues to grow, alongside our business.
2019
The design of our LGC Scrubber
Another example of our innovative nature – after being unable to find a Liquid Gas Contact Scrubber on behalf of Whitby Seafoods, we decided to build our own. This project also stands out as working with this client to solve difficult food odour control issues was a very positive experience, while our LGC Scrubber is still in use today.
2020
International expansion
We not only concentrate on clients in the United Kingdom. Expanding our officers and client list across Europe has shown that we continue to grow strategically as a business.
2020
The warehouse extension project for Silvery Tweed
As Principal Designer and Principal Contractor on this project, we planned and completed building control as we extended the warehouse of Silvery Tweed, a client we had previously worked with on the creation of a new seed cleaning plant a few years before.
2023
A full refurbishment of Molynlycke’s site
This was a huge job, as it included the full refurbishment of the client’s production facility. The installation of a new mixer and a 14,000l tank took a whole day to complete on its own. Still, this was an incredible experience for us, as it demonstrated our ability to get a complex design installed and working effectively.
2023
A new cyclone design for AB Agri
Due to new industry standards, this client was in need of a cyclone design that met those regulations, while achieving the performance required. We’re particularly proud of this project, as we know that other companies would not take on the design of this cyclone on in the first place.
2024
CPI Lab Refurbishment
A real highlight for us, this job was the result of building an effective working relationship to the point where we could tender such a large-scale project. Through a lot of hard work, we led this project as Principal Contractor and Principal Designer under CDM.
